MUSC is heavily involved in anti-piracy operations globally and at all levels, from briefing management and ships crews to providing security audits and practical defensive systems. Piracy is not limited to one or two regions and our operations team constantly monitor piracy hotspots across the world and provide our customers with tactical information to ensure safe, trouble-free transits.

The company is also the lead advisory body to Nigeria's Presidential Implementation Committee for Maritime Safety and Security (PICOMMS) training local employees and those of oil companies, including BP and Shell, in one of the most pirate-infested regions on earth. Similar strong relations exist between MUSC and EU member states. We also have extensive experience in the Gulf of Aden and regularly assist vulnerable vessels through this dangerous area at times of intense pirate activity, protecting seafarers and the interests of ship operators and insurers alike.
