It is this commitment to quality that enables MUSC to provide clients with the best training available.

We hold our courses across the globe and have operated in many countries including: USA, UK, Norway, Germany, Greece, Dubai, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Russia, Taiwan, Korea, Finland, and Singapore.

MUSC AND TRAINING SOLUTIONS

With a product and experience base that covers most aspects of the maritime arena we are capable of adapting our expertise to a variety of training solutions. Key areas include:

Risk Management.

Crisis Management

Vessel Security.

Counter Piracy Operations.

Port and Border Security.

PORT SECURITY DRILLS

Port Security Drills are an essential part of effective port security. MUSC can provide experts to carry out annual exercises as required by the ISPS Code. Drills can be live, full-scale exercises or tabletop simulations and seminars, and can be combined with other exercises such as search-and-rescue or emergency response drills.

Following the drill, MUSC prepares a report on the event which can be shown to inspectors at the verification stage. If necessary, MUSC can return to the port every quarter for one year and independently monitor future drills and exercises.

It takes three days on site to develop and conduct one Port Drill (the number of days on site would increase if more than one drill was to be conducted). A typical Port Security Drill carried out by MUSC would break down in roughly the following manner:

Identify the Drills required from the Port Facility Security Plan (1/4 of the day).

Develop as many drills as are required with the Port Facility Security Officer (3/4 of the day per drill).

Brief those people involved in the drills (1 day per drill).

Test the staff by conducting a live-action drill.

This scenario includes the development and carrying out of as many drills are required, the consultant spending three days on site per drill.

Key Benefits Include:

All employees completely understand their responsibilities and the proper procedures in the event of an emergency.

Maritime and Underwater Security Consultants (MUSC) offers a port facility two different scenarios to ensure that
their drills are conducted in line with their Port Security Plan.

Ensuring compliance with the ISPS Code.

TABLE TOP SECURITY EXERCISES

Effective communication and clear procedures are vital elements in responding to any security breach. To this end it is crucial that management teams be practiced and ready to respond in the event of an emergency. MUSC provides world-class experts to plan, manage and report upon a simulated security scenario.

A typical four-day schedule would break down in roughly the following manner:

A table top exercise scenario, setting location and objectives relevant to the client's shipping operations and
perceived threats.

Created operating procedures for the Port Security Council.

Simulation and interaction between client's crisis management team and exercise players.

Live tests of Ship Security Alarms System as operated by the client shipping company demonstrated to the
management team.

A post-exercise report with any recommended changes to the Security Plan.

A separate ISPS Code seminar for non-exercise participants and can provide complementary table top exercises
for port facility scenarios.
